OUR STORY
Stanley Bridges Cycles is a rider owned and run independent cycle shop that prides itself on providing quality service. We'll do everything we can to fit you with the right bike for your needs, all our bikes are also fully assembled and serviced before you sit on the saddle. We supply bikes from leading manufacturers to suit all budgets and we always stock a wide range of adults, kids and specialist bikes in store. We are not just about bikes, so have a look around and see what else we do.
OUR HISTORY
Stanley Bridge has been trading now for over 75 years. Originally trading from Kings Road Chelsea in the 1920’s and moving to Edmonton and then Waltham Cross after the 2nd World War. We are now based in Cheshunt (since 1972) and Waltham Abbey, since 2009 (shop now closed sept 2016 ).

Who is eligible?
There are certain criteria you have to meet to apply for finance:
• At least 18 years of age.
• A permanent UK resident.
• In regular employment (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent
residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment.
• In receipt of a pension if you are retired.
• Able to confirm sufficient income if you are registered disabled.
Please be aware that even if you meet all these criteria you may still be declined.

WORKSHOP AND CHARGES.
Keen cyclists enjoy nothing better than the therapy of tweaking and repairing their bicycles. If you are like many of us who do not have the time, equipment or inclination to carry out these duties, bring your beloved steed (or your old bike) along for a free estimate by one of our technicians.

BIKE REPAIRS

It doesn't matter what bike you ride, we are happy to work on any of them. Well it doesn't matter if its a bike at all. Like in the days of old we tackle anything mechanical just like an old school bike shop should do. That doesn't mean we are not up with the current stuff as well, we are happy working on your old shopper or your new top end road bike. Servicing
Bike servicing starts at £35 for a full service.
Which includes
Checking and adjusting gears brakes and bearings.
Checking over the bike for any faults and making sure every thing is tight and safe. We are happy to change components and fit accessories as part of the service. Cost of the parts will be chargeable.
Puncture repair prices.
Our charge includes the price of the new inner tube and fitting.
Brake adjustment
If you need your brakes fixing or tour gears tuning we can adjust individual components for £8.00. If you need a new cable to they start from £2.99.

We do some things free. If you have bought some grips and need them fitting or even if you just need your tires topping up with air.
WHEEL BUILDING
We have a passion for wheel building. It's a skill we enjoy using, our experienced staff are able to build wheels from scratch to your requirements.
BUSH OR BEARING REPLACEMENT.
If your full suspension bike is not as plush as it used to be, or you have knocking from you shock bushes. Pop your bike into us and we can replace all the worn out parts. We source high quality bearings individually, or a complete bearing kits from many suppliers, so we can get the best bearings for your buck!
BROKEN SCOOTER?
Many shops are willing to sell you scooters but not many like to tackle fixing them. We can fix or fit any part to your scooter be it supplied by us or not. If you are not sure if your parts will fit drop it into either of the shops and we will be happy to help.
FORK SERVICING
When its time to have your forks done. We can get them serviced for you by some of the greats like Tftuned or Mojo. But all you have to do is drop the bike in and we will remove and refit shocks at no extra charge to their prices. We are able to undertake basic fork repairs like seal and oil changes in house. PUNCTURE ON THE PUSHCHAIR?
We keep a wide range of inner tubes not just for bikes but for prams, pushchair's, disability scooters and even your wheel barrow. So if need a tube for anything give us a call .
ELECTRIC BIKES
I you are having a problems with your electric bike we will be happy to investigate it for you. Most common problems are down to something simple like a damaged cable or bad connection drop it in and leave it for us to find.
HYDRAULIC BRAKES BROKE?
There has been many makes and models of brakes through the years. So whatever brakes you have we will be happy to service or bleed from old to new.
